Winter in Bardonecchia

Bardonecchia has several different skiing areas which all have something different to offer to skiers. The first area is known as the Colomion-Les Arnauds. It is connected to another skiing area called Melezet; here there’s a wealth of wide runs that snake down through the trees. The starting point is from Campo Smith (1300 m) in the heart of the resort. From here the lifts take you to an altitude of up to 2400 metres where you can ski above the tree line. Just 5 minutes from the centre there is the third skiing area Jafferau. There is a free ski bus that runs from the city to Jafferau where the skiing is mainly on open runs with amazing views over the surrounding mountains. Here the highest point is 2800 metres and in spring there are endless possibilities for off-piste skiing.

Bardonecchia, host of the Turin Winter Olympics 2006 snowboard events, continues to welcome all snowboarders who are attracted by the extensive facilities of the internationally renowned snowboard resort.

For adults and over-6s there’s a pedestrian conveyor belt to take you to the top of the snow tubing track and the beginners’ run. The snow tubing track has been specially designed for you to enjoy all the fun of sliding down the mountain. The area is lit up during the evening so that you can continue to have fun after dusk.

Equipped with special snow shoes, it is possible to enjoy some of the most spectacular scenery whilst keeping fit and toning lots of muscles.

Finally, we are proud to offer our guests an unusual way to explore the magic of the mountains and the bars and restaurants on the slopes: snowcat safari!
